Universal Defence was founded in 2002 based on the catalytic changes to the global political environment over the previous two years. Having observed tangible changes to the World’s attitudes towards National Security, surveillance and Defence, it was a clear signal that led to this decision.

Initially, Universal Defence focused on developing leading edge security software for IP surveillance and Intelligence solutions for Law Enforcement Agencies, Government, Military and Carrier use. The World's first fully integrated Lawful Interception, Warrant Tracking and Analysis suite was developed and marketed in Australia and Asia for several years before part of the Zero^TM, Epsilon^TM and Z.Forensics Suite^TM was acquired.

With this background, to leverage the knowledge and experience gained in this niche environment, Universal Defence then focused on the Identity and Access Management area to provide services to the Corporate/Civillian sector using an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to drive business value.
